Aboard the C-P Enterprise

With fresh breezes of caring and waters of sharing
Creative-Poems continues to sail
In depths unexplored with an officer aboard

He propels her through sun or hail

Words fill the sailcloth, stories and poetry cross
Fine works of fiction and fact
We travel a sea of creativity
Advancing forward, few care to look back

Our voyage began with a few driven fans
More sailors came on in due time
With a hard working crew popularity grew
Shipshape, our sanctum divine

In sad disbelief we run up on a reef
Our vessel soon faced her demise
Until one blessed day a shipmate would pay
To sail her as his merchandise

Captain Rich checked the hull and after a lull
His ordinance arranged port of call
C-P was taken there for needed repair
Main mast, main sail, one and all

She returned to the sea, chivalrously

To glide through the waves her fourth year

So with champagne now we christen the bow
Hold high our full glasses and cheer

Author's Notes:
Happy 4th Anniversary Creative-Poems, may the wind ALWAYS fill your sails!!! =))

Beautiful poem to celebrate the beauty

resilience and brilliance of CP.

What a beautiful dedication Barbara. This is very deserving of an award. Your' pen, once again, has created yet another masterpiece!  From where I sit, the scenery is beautiful! Congratulations for winning the award.

Hardy-Har-Har matie...  And shiver me timbers...  Ahoy good crew!!!

Aye Aye, Barbara has captured the very heart and soul of the good ship C-P Enterprise...

Fortunately for ship and her crew,

Captain Rich was there to see her through....

Being a new member of the ship's crew and a lowly deck hand, and still not having my sea legs, (being a former Landlubber) I can appreciate all the history of the voyages of the past...

Of note to the plank owners...  Ye who first sailed this fine vessel after her keel was layed... Ye all stood fast and refused to abandon ship and this shows testament of your fortitude...

So pull the gang planks!!!  Weigh anchors and hoist the main sail!!!

Prepare to (creatively) set sail in search of new worlds!!!

To BOLDLY go where no poet has gone before...

What a beautiful dedication to C-P Barbara, which has become more of a home to many of us, rather than an ordinary poetry site. Thank you Barbara for writing this wonderful piece...Hugz...Jillian

Ah, but its the team and the crew, that decides the fate of all endeavors. My hat remains off to Dennis and everyone who helped shaped the boat and make it seaworthy. The number of names is large. Barbara, besides writing wonderful verse, you know your guiding hand will always remembered as there when it was most needed. During times of growth when so many uncharted currents and shallows were there. Thanks for this! Rich
