It,s Crazy I know, But That,s Me
Within a cell of pure white, each night

I pull up the sheets, hold back the fright

I,m mad and iknow it

But try not to show it

It,s crazy i know, but that,s me

The thing i hate most is my own ghost

Who lurks and smirks in the wardrobe

He peeps and i scream

Could this be a dream?

It,s crazy i know, but that,s me

Tiny people creep and crawl

Eyes protruding out the wall

Outstretched arms that nearly touch

Morning callers i hate so much

Will never ever let me be

The person within who longs to be free

Within a cell of pure white, each night

I pull up the sheets, hold back the fright

This mad world of mine

Will all end in time

It,s crazy i know, but that,s me.

Are these the demons that follow us to sleep? I've spent a lifetime caring for those who experience that madness. I suggest a bit of Thorazine. Very creative John. The repitition of the last lines carries the piece well. jp

Wow.  I loved the way this sounds when read aloud.  Nice work.  Really has that rhythm that pushes the dark madness right into the reader.  Well done ~Pam

LOL, Wickedly horiffic with subtle humor ta boot!

"They're comming to take me ha ha

They're comming to take me away

ho ho

hee hee

ha ha

To the funny farm

Where life is beautiful all the time

And I'll be happy to see those nice young men

And their clean white coats

'Cause they're comming to me away ha ha"

Ever heard of the song?

Awsome work here, I look forward to more.

All the Best, Shad *^_^*

I like this as it shows a dark sort of humerous look at craziness.

That's really cool, I like it. The eerie, uneasy tone shows through really well.
