Winter Dreams

Winter

Everything sleeps

Through their winter dreams

The world is a blanket

Of sunlit white.

The only sound

Is a sparrow

Calling to a friend

In an Old Stone Age birch

Come fly with me

Is so distinct

Then he soars

Through the morning

I wish I had wings.

The winter queen

With outstretched hand

Paints the land

With the purest form.

While we all sleep

Our winter dreams away.

Almost a fairy tale image presented here, or a Christmas Card image.  Oooh.  I liked this a great deal.  I love what a good snowfall and a frosty nose can do. :o)  Very very nice.  A pleasure to read. ~Pam
