Behind my eyes
I gaze into the mirror I see in your eyes.
What has made you become so wise?
I expect limitations with no compromise.
Yet you limitless talent brings tears to my eyes.
I go through life looking for reality.
Yet it's not what it's cracked up to be.
There is so much more than my eyes can see.
I learn from you and you learn from me.
Narrow-minded to the core.
Behind my eyes there is so much more.
What is the truth I am looking for?
When I die will it unlock the door?
Deep inside, it's you I see.
Humbled with the right to be.
I am you. You are me.
We're all searching to be free.

Author's Notes:
My mind is reeling from a poem I  read.
All those questions in my head.
I'll have to thank James for what he said.
The ripples of life are so widespread.

Dear Fletch-
Far deep past the flesh that covers this tool we utilize to survive,
There is something within that makes us who we truly are-
The funny thing about questions is they don't always have answers
that can be confirmed-
So all we can do is speculate on our own theories-
Keep Digging-It's all we can do-
May your mind continue to search for what so many today ignore-
Best Wishes to You and Yours My Friend~

This world is twisted, black, and rot
Yet so much beauty still surrounds us
The branch, it cannot be helped
But the seed who falls from the very same tree
Sprouts and becomes much greater than before .... I think we all search to be free!!! Hugs ~ Scarlett
