A Love That Never Ends.
The tears once flowed in torrents
From this drained now empty well
Emotions once ran riot in this
All but empty shell

The joy of what was romance
Replaced by pain, of loss and love
Years of hate and anger
Seeking faith from up above

And though it was forthcoming
I fear it comes to late
A soul in constant torment
Could not endure the wait

The heart beats like a hollow drum
Upon a barren battlefield
Emotions scattered to the winds
Their fate forever sealed

So why await a miracle
To rescue me by chance
When all I want is sweet release
To except that final dance

Reunion with those that I loved
That time cannot extend
To wash away the heartache
Of a love that never ends.

Author's Notes:
The dark days and nights of winter seem to weigh heavily upon me, it should be a time of looking forward to christmas but that ceased a long time ago for me, I should get out more but have'nt got the inclination or the enthusiasm any more.

There's something about this time of year that gets me down, too, Graham...and I think that many of us here feel that same way. Winter is not always a wonderful time, and holidays are becoming more trouble and pain than they are worth....

I understand the heartaches written into this write....

Hugs my friend, and hopes for brighter tomorrows!

Glata

What to say........ I feel your pain which ,oft times, seems to plague creative people. Shelly said in his Ode To A Skylark:  "..... our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought." I hope you can take some comfort in your writing which always makes my day when reading it. Michael

I know of this rut we seem to place ourselfs in like a comfort zone. If anyone says lets go out oh no I am comfy here to much effort. Stay in my pjs  and watch tv or go on the comp. Its cold outside and lovely and warm in here, but life does not wait for people to knock on our door and do it for us, we are the ones who need to make an effort. Only you can help yourself get out of this rut you are in only you can change it today. Do things different go visit friends. Do a course at college night school even. Lots of things to keep the mind active it is just getting up of the arse and saying yes today I will start living.

Much love

Wonderful  but sad
