Furthest Distance~8

Furthest Distance

Time is a reflection of what used to be

Knowledge is the strength of mental memory

Every second moving forward becomes the past

Then its added to the shadows your existence cast

Everyday starts and ends counted by the hour

For generations weve granted it complete power

Until passing days collect and melt into a year

So calendars become our measurement mirror

It seems life can begin and end in an instant

Yet we assume a lifetime is the furthest distance

But existence is no more than a physical illusion

That enhances your spirit or creates confusion

James, this poem sends chills down your spine. This is amazing, and yet, until you read this, or take the time to think about time, we take advantage-just like you say.

Great write, James.

Illusions keep reality at bay at times...

This, as  always, James, is a clear view of how your mind works...always seeing beneath the glossy side of life and seeing it as it really is.

Very profound!
