Empty

Empty

I came across a lonely man

His thoughts were filled with wisdom

But a different story

His eyes would speak.

I am waiting he said

For the day when my heart

Can be released.

Until then I will wait

Even though my life

Just like the sea

Will ebb and flow

And be pushed around

Like a pebble on the shore

But one day

There will be a tide

My soul will ride

And take me to my destiny

Which is by your side.
