I) My Winter Fears

As the snow is falling around
I see some leaves flying to the ground
And my branches aching through the cold
I whisper goodbye to the dreams untold

Tree with no leaves is dead and alone
Like my heart is killed by a dawn
And comfortless, I, in the winter hide
While snakes around me to slumber they slide

A little animal in me finds home
To get some peace and rest its bones
As storm is coming I feel fear
And no one’s there my pain to hear

Where is my life gone? Where is it now?
Once the sun to me He vowed
That He’ll always stay up there and shine
So that warmth will wrap my spine

As I lay to sleep for a while
The black clouds keep sadding my mind
Where did security go? I feel afraid
By all the loneliness I feel so slaved

Tranquility I can never find
For snowflakes that fall keep me blind
And as on my branches the water melts
I fear that this coldness never ends

Where is the Spring with its life?
Where streams are floating and forests smile?
I’ll have to bear all these cruel thoughts
Till this Winter passes while Gods behold

II) This Spring Fairytale

Oh God I can see Rebirth again!
How romantic is this day!
I can see Aphrodite singing in that stream
As she’s washing herself; it’s a dream!

I can witness some birds fly on the sky!
Clear and blue with no clouds inside!
There isn’t not even a drop of rain
And my heart is never filled again with pain

I’d like to embrace all the nature
My mother Earth to thank with a gesture
I’d like to walk and run on the hills
And shout a “thank you” for all these feelings

Renaissance has finally found my leaves
In colorful shades they shine and glint
It’s like a dreamland this once cold wood
The animals are dancing on this strange groove

It’s like the flowers are spelling out notes
And the best music ever they compose!
I see the fairies playing by me
And the elves have come to stroll around free!

While sky and earth reunite in one
The sun is sending its blessing to us
And my branches shine by the rays of light
I can feel this bliss beating my fright
This happiness and joy I had years to feel!
Oh, thank you, Life for making me a tree!
So I can live these beautiful moments of love
While angels are kissing not far above

III) Apathetic Summerdays

Hail to you sea of fire!
This warmth is hugging my desire
Sir Sun is burning there up high
And me I’m melting over all this light

I am rooted in this warm ground
And shades of yellow reign all around
Pity I can’t dive in the sea
And hold my breath and swim to the deep

It feels so tiring this endless day
It’s always sunny and it never rains
Without any water, how can I live?
And by all this heat I feel peeved
My branches are weary and my bole is filled
With little animals that try to sleep
Under this heavy shivering dust
Oh, let this summer become past!

I’d like to have the power to bid
And bring some clouds their waters to free
I desperately need some morning dew
I need to feel alive and cool

For a fleeting moment bring back the snow!
Only to feed my appetite, then go!
Oh, Sun, just hide behind the hills!
And bring the nightbreeze next to me!

By all this silence my shaft feels frail
On the earth you can see not even a trail
Everyday this Summer gets worse and worse
Everything’s drowned under this warm curse

IV) Sweet Autumn Breath

The first drops of rain that spilled over my face
Where like a chance to be born again
But then the melancholy came around
My leaves all fell and now they’re drowned

My weakness keeps growing and I can feel
That Winter is coming with its painful tears
Tears that become snowflakes as falling
Around me they fall; my branches adorning

But sweet Autumn is here with its odor strange
And as I feel the rain that keeps wetting my face
I witness some clouds fighting in the sky
They are both black and terrifying

I hear sounds of silence where sadness exists
And where a mourning comes from the hills
Birds fly to the north to find some warmth
While I stay here and I have no choice

Please, sky, tell to the clouds
I am afraid by their awful sounds!
They keep shouting over my crown
And in their black rain they let me drown!

All I see these days is a gray dark sky
And this brings me sorrow, so much inside
I’d like to bring all the sunbeams back
And ask forgiveness for I once was mad

Please, Autumn, just pass away soon!
In your rainy nights there is no moon!
And I can’t tolerate your eternal crying
So please leave us back as nature’s sighing
