Not Alone

Not Alone

I thought my life was empty

But it is filled

With the brightest of colours

My children,s eyes

That greet my day

And take away my sadness.

I am not alone

I am at home

But I have touched upon madness

And seen a devil

Who would revel in gladness.

I will never take that final step

For I have loved them

From the moment

Their eyes had awoken

and made my life complete.

I will love them

Care for them

Protect them

From the life

That they may meet.

Very Touching..we only need to count our blessings then we realize we are not alone.

Your children are blessed to have such a loving father.

boy can I empathise with the words in this poem.

While allowing our fledglings to fly...we are always standing in the background ready in case they fall.

I also "touched upon madness and saw a devil"
