~Wishing On a Star~

I made a wish
upon a shining star
That you were close
and not so far

If only this wish
could come true
I would be living
right beside you

I made a wish
to have a friend who was true
God knew what he was doing
cause he sent me you

I made a wish
for a shoulder to catch my tears
Someone to be there
to lessen my fears

I made a wish
for our friendship to never end
Deep down I know
my heart would surely never mend
