A Home For My Creatures
Some time ago, I set down my pen. Without a single thought If ever I would scribe again. Images and verse swam deep, Thrashing about within the pools Of my mind, my heart, my soul. And the need to write, I fought, Lest I'd be found a simple fool, The concept of rejection kept Me steeped in paralyzing fear And to expose my naked inner self, Without exception, to critique and The tantalizing words of someone else's ear I knew, was far too much than I could bear. So I sat in silent bond to my own feelings, And suppressed the muse within. Another day, not so very long ago, The swelling tides of my emotion Burst from deep within, letting go A wave of overflowing notions That I could quell no more. And the fear that made me hide, Would soon subside to the Pleasing thoughts of sweet release. I sailed the vastness of the Internet To find a place my words could dwell Without the harshness of attack. Obsessively, I'd continue to check back. But I found a certain lack of interest And a sense of no sincerity. Hardly present was the feel of mere posterity. So my journey carried on. I nearly reached the end of Cyberspace, Still I knew that such a forum must exist. And I knew that I would surely find that place, If only on this voyage, Id persist. Then lost, I stumbled to Creative-Poems And knew that I had found where I could live. A place that all my creatures could call home. A place where inspiration, artists truly give.

Wow! You said it all. You have described my search, also. Thanks for putting it into words.
