As I walk these rooms

In silent tears

I think of all

The distant years.

Echoing laughter

Childrens tears

Growing fears.

We saw them both

Through this and more

As I wander through

Another door.

For the times

I was blind to your needs

When all I saw

Was my wants.

For the days

When you were down

And I pushed you further

I am sorry.

The changes that took place

In our lives

Cannot erase or take away

The ghostly memories

That now walk these rooms.
