Queens1 Short Story challenge
I was reading in my studio apartment when lights starting flashing around the walls, red lights chasing blue chasing red. What in the world is going on down there? I look down from the second story window to see police cars congregating below. Why? Then there are noises coming from the ceiling, scrambling, crawling sounds. There’s someone up there! I am trapped! There is a pounding on the door and I run to open it.
Author's Notes:
Here is another challenge to all the short story writers out there.  I am curious as to how someone else would finish this.

"And then the ground began to shake as the flood entered through the windows. The meteor crashed through the wall, followed by an atomic explosion off in the distance. I decided not to renew my subscription to Reader's Digest."

How did I do, kid??.....len
