Driftin' along...
Drifting along in life
I wonder if I'm right in
The choices made so far
My mind is so confused

With no real direction, I'm
Drifting along in life
Hopeful fool or wishful dreamer
I'm not sure what I am anymore

My heart is torn and
My mind is so cloudy
Drifting along in life
Hoping to avoid further pain

Like a ship in fog shrouded waters
Lost without a compass
Safe harbor nowhere in sight
Drifting along in life

Joe, as I read this it really hits home to me... All your life you do for others..so many changes , so many different faces .. I think we loose ourselves and what we want?? I have been lost several times in life.. just to confused as to what to do?? We are here for you... Reach out we are there... Hugs~ She Whispers

Sometimes its so easy to simply drift and too hard to decide where to set sail to. A compass is only any good when you know where you want to go.  I find lately I do as you do, drifting along and trying to avoid as much pain as possible...though I didn't do very good job of it yesterday since I fell over and hit my face on the edge of our patio door. :o)

Been there done it , still don't know if if I've got there, all I can say is persevere, you will get there.

You conveyed the sense of helplessness very well.  Drifting, being tossed and blown along with a current not of your choice.

Joe, I think we all end up getting lost in life at some time or another...but it's not always a bad thing. Sometimes we have to get off the beaten path to really learn to appreciate the things in life that mean the most to us. Don't worry, my friend...if you are wandering around out there for too long alone, we'll haul you back in.

Hugs to you!

And here's to brighter days for you...
