Sky Opening
Sky opening,
decimation of clouds;
parting way for life again.
For a spring, a new start.

Streaks of sun,
forcing their way
through the portals of sky,
and the excitment builds.

Life calls;
the accuity of direction
pointless,
as they all beckon.

Years of  a gloomy drought
coming to finale,
Opportunities knocking,
which door to open?

Urgings to open them all,
a sampling after the parchment;
so glorious to finally be drenched,
so greatful to drink again.

The exquisite freedom,
the light heartedness of it all;
a haphazard bliss,
once again,
to bloom.

Just today, Barbie, I left a comment on something saying that they should have used 'portal of sky' rather than 'portal to the sky', and then I come to catch up on your page and I see this. This is good stuff, especially that opening. A couple of spellings to correct (excitement, grateful), but beyond that, this is, like most of your other free verse, a pleasure.
Congratulations by the way, the missus told me of your newly-earned qualifications.
