Blue Eyed Angel
I never knew that angels could cry,
till I saw your face.
I never understood why angels had masks,
with all their beauty and grace.

And I wonder why the angels I see,
live through the hell and then justify
that it's what gave them their wings;
it's what made them fly.

So then...

Why do you cry?
Why do you cry?
Blue eyed angel.

I never knew that angels could smile,
beneath a shattered heart.
I never understood why angels had wings,
when they just got ripped apart.

And I wonder why the angels I see,
have tears in their eyes,
'cause with each tear that drops,
a piece of them dies.

Please tell me...

Why do you cry?
Why do you cry?
Blue eyed angel.

I just want you to know,
this world was not made for you.
I just want you to understand,
that there's nothing you can undo.

And you wonder why you're still here,
when you feel there lies no reason.
But know that you're loved, know that you're needed,
and for you, this song is written.

Oh, you beautiful person...

Why do you cry?
Why do you cry?
Blue eyed angel...

As one who has written lyrics, I think this is just great! I would love to hear these woeds put to music, there is something about Angels that just goes together with music. Great writing Carolina.  Henry

This was an interesting read.  Questions throughout and then with a positive finish.  Good work, well written.  I would like to have seen the word 'Because' instead of the word 'cause' as there were no other abbreviations above or below and for me it didn't ring right.   Just a personal preference.
