A theory on something
Logicalities and rationalities
Wonít stop running through my head
With all these theories consuming philosophies
My soul is mockingly empty, and dead
Mathematics proves respite
Proves all the concepts right
An ironic parallel to life
Of a single destination
When the only puzzle is simply
Finding the correct direction
Numbers in my mind
Constantly scrutinizing life
Dissecting every factor
To if itís wrong or right
Analyzing what Iím feeling
Until Iím just not real

Logically all this legitimating is illogical

Although each moment I delve deeper
In an obligated attempt to fix myself
I am struck with the sense of how deep it all really goes
I discovered this while scrubbing incessantly
At a fingerprint mark on the wall
Only to stand back and realizeÖ
How dirty the rest of the wall really was

Saw this on someone's fav. list.  I see the word brilliant in most of the comments, and they're absolutely correct.

This was just brillianClare! The last two lines summed it up neatly, I take it to mean "Don't sweat the small stuff in life because there are bigger things to care about". Great work Clare!   Henry

Dear Clare-
The last 2 lines really summarize mankind and to me,
the reason for our being here-
The core of existence is pure and we as a civilization are
the outer layers-
If we do not return more in tune with the unity of the core,
we may contaminate the other layers.
This "Theory" was described simply and honestly making these
words have an impact-
Best Wishes to You and Yours My Friend~

This is very well written with so much revelation. Lessons can be learned from this.
I enjoyed it immensely.

This is a pretty deep piece of writing. Logic is cold and analytical- it gives definite answers but doesn't always provide the best way of getting there!

I love that last verse- sometimes we need to stand back and see the bigger picture instead of worrying about our little piece of it.

Nice one.
