My lady of the lake

With this sword

My soul you take

I have but only pennies

To pay the boatman’s fare

Tho my life is but a mystery

I leave it to my history

Tintagel was my Camelot

Excalibur was my truth

But now the reaper calls.

This darkest dawn

Was meant for me

A shadow in a symphony

The man I was

Was mearly

But a name

That is lost to history.

Stunning!  The hidden intensities in the piece make me long for less complicated times of splendor.…
Of live and die by your sword; of honor being more important then fame; and of course, of love conquer all…
The way you pen this, show of great appreciation and respect for the legend of all legends…

I think to all men and boys King Arthur will all ways be a source of inspiration, as you have proved here, excellent work John.

Powerful write here John...knowing who you are today is better than living with the name of yesterday.
