Butterflies And Roses
Butterflies And Roses

I write for all and some who cannot find the words.

They’re words from the heart and seldom ever heard.

I write about cherished moments. That in my heart, I hide.

About all the beauty I see and the dreams that I have inside.

I do not wish to ever compose any sad repose.

I offer only beautiful things, such as the butterfly and rose.

I know that there is a place for sadness and gloom.

I choose to view life from the other side of the room.

So take a deep breath and slow down the pace.

And savor every moment.  We're not in a race.

Take some time out my friend to look deep within.

There you’ll find treasures. Allow the healing to begin.

Do you see the wonder that simple pleasures bring?

Allow them to fill your heart and cause your soul to sing.

You also can become part of the beauty all around.

Your life can be the most wonderful thing ever found.

When you find yourself at the twilight of your days,

You will look back and see just how many ways,

You were part of the beauty and the world's better place.

You chose to see the beauty that put a smile upon your face.

Author's Notes:
I felt I should post this here at my FAVORITE poetry site because of the importance I attach with this poem...  One of these days I will be satisfied enough with my poetry...  Then I will write my book...

"Butterflies And Roses"  will be the books theme and also the title poem...  I am in no hurry for now and I am FOREVER editing, refining and organizing my poetry trying to find JUST the right touch...

When I am ready, I will proudly join the ranks of some of the talented
"Published Authors" here at Creative Poems...

And when I hit the NY Times Best Sellers List,
I will gladly autograph a copy for you...
For a nominal fee that is...  :D

Great encouraging write, Ham! And I know that one day you'll reach the point that you'll be totally ready to publish. It's a wonderful  feeling to hold that first copy of your very own work in your hands.

I agree that there is no time like the present to spread a little (or a LOT)  of love around Hammy.
Good luck with the book.
