"The Lady Eve"

“The Lady Eve”

“Once Upon a Time in the West”,
A good-hearted King took a wife
From a kingdom “North by Northwest”.
“Once Upon a Time in the West”,
The prize at the end of his quest,
“The Lady Eve”, love of his life.
“Once Upon a Time in the West”,
A good-hearted King took a wife.

They called her “The African Queen”
In her “Blue Velvet” wedding gown,
The most gorgeous lace ever seen.
They called her “The African Queen”.
Her large dowry was far from lean,
She even had a jester clown.
They called her “The African Queen”
In her “Blue Velvet” wedding gown.

His life became “All About Eve”,
Thought it was “As Good as it Gets”.
The people started to believe
His life became “All About Eve”.
“Great Expectations” to achieve
“Bringing up Baby” and his pets.
His life became “All About Eve”,
Thought it was “As Good as it Gets”.

“The Three Faces of Eve” he saw
Showed wisdom, wonder and love.
The people looked on them with awe.
“The Three Faces of Eve” he saw,
Made her equal under the law.
To him, she was sent from above.
“The Three Faces of Eve” he saw
Showed wisdom, wonder and love.
Author's Notes:
I pictured this as a group of friends sitting around and one challenged the group to make up a story using movie titles with each one taking a verse in Triolet form.  The movie titles are in "  ".  I have no idea where the story will end.....:o)

What a novel idea, kid..You pulled it off nicely..It's kinda funny..There really is no direction called North By Northwest..Alfred Hitchcock just liked the sound of it...len
