Dawn

Dawn

When you run on empty

The night can seem so long

All you have is memories

Where you used to belong

A sunny day

Could fade away

In shadowed thunder of doubt

But without the rain

There could be no sunshine

And with no dawn

I could never tell you

I love you

Some poems just makes an impact, and this is one of them.  Beautifully crafter, and the two last lines are so strong.  This is poetry as it should be.

John,

Very heart felt poem.. I think sometimes we just have  to stumble in the darkness  to finally see the light... I so enjoy your poetry.. Hang in there ..there is an Angel just for you.... When she comes to you and if she is the right one you will be able to say the words... That you must say!.
