The Easter Bunny Volunteers

The Easter Bunny Volunteers

Panic at the North Pole!
Santa’s beard failed to grow,
Full and white was the goal,
He had nothing to show!
One wee elf named Sunny
Remembered a memo
From the Easter Bunny,
“If in need, let me know.”
Santa quickly sent word
To his family’s burrow
By way of the Bluebird.
“Santa’s beard did not grow.”
“What I’ve been waiting for,
An opportunity,
Perhaps, to give back more
Than was given to me.”
Just like Easter morning,
He made his appearance,
An auspicious meeting
Under odd circumstance.
While hugging Santa’s neck,
The elves could plainly see,
Bunny’s coat was perfect
And fit Claus to a tee.
The next time you see Claus,
Don’t be surprised to find
That his full beard has paws,
Pay it no never-mind,
‘Cause it’s been many years
And they’ve come to depend
On the one with long ears,
When chin’s bare, to step in.
Author's Notes:
Ever wonder what the Easter Bunny did in the winter?  Besides maybe sleep?  Well....just imagine him in his full, fluffy winter coat....
