Quietly Bleed~2

~Quietly Bleed~

My head explodes like a thousand volts

My souls corroding from the end results

Iíve lost interest in things I once admired

At times I feel wired yet still grow tired

Iíve tried to get up but keep falling down

My own frustration is making me drown

Stumbling on bridges of evaporated dreams

As I search for answers to what it all means

I told no one who cared that I was scared

By these shades of fear Iíve never shared

I never learned how to silently plead

So I'll sit here alone and quietly bleed

Author's Notes:
This poem is a repost from the pages of my second book-
The Journey~Ahead or Behind
I originally posted this poem here 10/31/04

This piece speaks of the pain we sometimes tend to carry
and the weight of self-dought some just can't shake-
I was often one who pulled my anger out whenever
life seemed to target me and would quickly disperse it
to any who aggravated me.
Not the best way to handle it but at least I let it out in some form-
Unfortunately there are some who do not know how to release
that pain so it continuously builds and eventually destroys them
from within their soul until the whole world becomes painted black-
My best friend was one of those people until he found his way to beat it-
Bill committed suicide on Nov 18, 1993-
PLEASE- If you know someone like this,
Take them by the hand and make them understand that life ain't
always the way we planned but we each make it through past
dark skies and blue as long as they have help from someone like

I have been to this deep dark place and to climb back up that ladder is so very hard. Without others who care you feel empty. I am sorry for your loss of a dear friend.

I told no one who cared that I was scared

By these shades of fear Iíve never shared

I never learned how to silently plead

So I'll sit here alone and quietly bleed

A very deep and fantastic write

It gets the darkest before dawn.

Sorry to hear about your Pal.

I, too, know victims of unvented anger and pain. It's not an easy thing to see, or to deal with. Speaking from experience, it's tough to choose an outlet. If nothing is obviously apparent, that pain will consume the victim and sadly, it doesn't end like an episode of The Brady Bunch.

Great write.

It's bit like sex. It starts good then ends great.

This poem was beautiful. I hate to say that I've been in that dark
place, and if it wasn't for a wonderful person who helped me without
even knowing it, I wouldn't be here.  Some people are just too
deep in their superficial lives to notice when someone needs help, and
sometimes even a simple smile can help. I really enjoyed this poem.

I hope that the inner turmoil has eased since the first posting of this, James...You have written such emotion into this. I think that there are many that can relate here. I know I sure can!

Having the feeling that you're all alone with your pain and emotions is pretty natural. Being able to ask someone for help? That's something we all tend to fight against. Always know, Brother mine...that I'm here. Any time.

Hugs to you and yours, and love y'all!

Your NC sis...Glata
