Time flies by,
like dust in the wind;
I reflect upon my past,
and wonder where I've been.

It seems like only yesterday,
I gave birth to my first son;
But now he is a Man,
and over twenty-one.

I remember, oh so cleary,
the first steps that he took;
And each night I would read to him,
a book by Dr. Suess.

I know one day I must,
give him to his young Bride;
But I will always smile,
at the memories of his life.
