Secret Love

Secret Love

Life without you would be no kind of life.
Innocent friendship, far from innocent,
Vivid memories of you stay vivid,
Eyes full of soul looking into my eyes.

Love, I wish I could believe in your love
Once more. You were the man of my dreams once.
Voice of experience, please hear my voice,
Emotions wild, touched by your emotions.

Laughter with you created more laughter
And I need that again and again and
Usually I am glad, but usually
Greed takes over my heart, though I hate greed.
Having you in my world is worth having
Sensations of life and love sensations.
Author's Notes:
Saw Shadow sonnet on Shadow Poetry created by Amera M. Andersen and wanted to give it a try.  Plus make it an acrostic, too.
May be written in any sonnet style.  The Shadow takes place at the beginning and ending of each line as the words are identical or homophonic.  Since all poetry was originally meant to be sung or recited out loud, homophonic words are acceptable, these are words that sound alike such as 'see and sea'.  (Rules:  14 lines, 9 or 10 syllables per line.  The poem should have a volta or pivit: iambic pentameter is not necessary.)   I don't know what volta or pivit are, either, so don't ask me.  :o)
