ill-fated bond -- Link Acrostic
In the trenches feeling so very little
Little refuge from strife of everyday life
Life consumed by grief and flaws
Flaws that cause confusion and anxiety
Anxiety over who to give loving trust
Trust that allies will always enable
Enable a sense that life can be decent
Decent for those who share a bond
Bond that keeps an eye out for each other
Other people may fail but a friend should not
Not to let someone close and dear down
Down to the wire, a friendship caved in
Author's Notes:
Sometimes when a friend has good intentions, there comes a point when good intentions fail and self-preservation comes into play.

Fiction, but based on an argument witnessed by myself...

It all comes down to what a person WANTS to believe or do. All the good intentions in the world won't be able to make those decisions for another person. Great job, Joe...and you know that your friends are right here for ya...always!

Hugs...Glata

When those good intentions are misinterpreted or not communicated well we then tend to feel attacked or abused so tend to guard our heart from the pain of rejection.
Well written Joe
