Emcumberance -- Fiction
Stuch in a rut trying to get free;
Not sure how to break the cycle,
Not sure what to do in 'everyday' life,
and not sure who to trust around me
There's a want to change, but I remain
stuck in a rut trying to get free...
Empathetic souls, around to help gladly,
so far away my mind feels alone...
There's distance between hope and me;
a divide that holds me stifled, and
stuck in a rut trying to get free...
Friends try to help, but is that enough?
Need to find strength from within
Need to put together the broken pieces
Need to stand up and break out from being
stuck in a rut trying to get free...
Author's Notes:
Fictional poem based on the sad faces I have to see everyday at work...

Habits are hard to break..sometimes people stay in a rut because the unknown is scarier than the familiar.

I know that with you around they have someone  to talk  to.  I  wonder if they know how lucky they are.

Great work here, hon...
