I heard this noise, then a ghastly sound,|
that echoed through my ears profound.
I covered up, beneath sheet and pillow,
then heard this tapping on my window.
What be these noises that visits me,
that are scaring my senses vividly.
I take a peek, but nothings there,
except for my shadow of despair.
Back under the covers I dive again,
Oh' how I wish, this night would end.
I think of monsters beneath my bed,
and think they want to take my head.
I sweat and shake beneath the sheets,
then tightly start to grit my teeth.
These haunting noises chill my bones,
and make my hairs stand up alone.
I heard a whoosh, and then a bang,
and grip my bed, with both my hands.
Then see a shadow creep up close,
that slowly starts, to nip my toes.
I quickly jumped up out of bed,
and throw my pillow at it's head.
Too my relief no monster found,
twas nothing more, than my pet mouse.
