When
The sun will still shine
The sky will be blue some days
I have never lived a life of cliché’s
Illusions and magicians
Have no place in my world
Love shined its light
The world could see
In a softly floating dream
A lyrical wonderland
I blessed and cursed the earth
For every footstep I took
That took me away from you.
Life is a stream
A captured bliss
A wanting for so much more.
A flower held tightly against the breeze
Could never hold it’s petals
In the wake of silent spring
Creeping, walking, stalking
She waits on my submission
But I see beyond forever
Two planted seeds
So carefully tended
Nurtured and needed.
Beyond my soul of surrender.
A talking walking stalking midnight.
The streetlights are eyes
Lost within the ever shaking leaves
Of surrendering trees.
When I was young
I stood in the arms of giants
Stole the fruit of summer
Almost out of reach.
Scraped my knees on rocky dreams
Chased some rainbows not knowing
The crock of gold
Was always in my heart.
