Infinite Dance

Standing poised on the edge of a dance,
Congruent figures balanced on tip-toe,
We shall go on and on, given a chance.
Primitive extremes, crude and refined show
We dance to the sound of the wind and stars,
Congruent figures balanced on tip-toe.
Itís impossible to disguise the scars
Of evolution, and we celebrate,
We dance to the sound of the wind and stars.
The revolution wonít be left to fate
Because our locus cannot be denied,
Of evolution, and we celebrate.
Infinite wisdom has us well defined,
Though we are finite in this ancient line,
Because our locus cannot be denied.
We are the fourth dimension of Godís mind,
Standing poised on the edge of a dance,
Though we are finite in this ancient line,
We shall go on, and on, given a chance.
Author's Notes:
Written for a contest on Allpoetry with a picture prompt
Word bank I used:  Congruent--coinciding exactly when superimposed.  Dimension--a physical property, often mass, length, time, or a combination thereof.  Edge--a dividing line or points of transition.  Extreme--extending far beyond the norm.  Finite--having bounds, limited.  Locus--a locality, place.  Revolution--sudden or momentous change in any situation.
Done in the Terzanelle form.

Beautifully written within the structure. It takes more patience than I have to stick so rigidly to a poetic form as this one.

VERY well done, Patty...but unless you're a signed in member at AllPoetry, the picture won't show up :o) so it doesn't have to be in explicit...

You did a beautiful job with this write...VERY beautiful!
