A Single Tear.
If the world ran out of words
Would a child be seen not heard
Would you hear a single tear
Just as it falls

Could you hear the crackling leaf
However distant as its brief
Could you hear a single tear
Just as it falls

There are those that scream and shout
They just have to let it out
But could you hear a single tear
Just as it falls

If the world ran out of words
I know it seems absurd
But would you listen for a tear
Just as it falls.

This is beautifully written.  Listening to a single tear may prevent many more from falling.  Great write indeed!

Sir Graham,
The world is full of many noises and sounds
but no-one ever listens  when a  single tear
hits the ground..
Your mind sometimes is the only one who hears .
. I know I have felt like this also with tear

.... Beautiful poetry straight from your heart....

Some people suffer in silence...so true, often a single tear is all you will see of their intense pain. Those in tune with same such suffering will listen for that tear, I'm sure of it. I know where this came from Graham. Very nice!

Where ever it came from, Graham, it's brilliant! And it also asks questions that makes me wonder...what has happened to the empathy and the simple gift of listening to our fellow man when they need us?

Great work, my English friend!

Glata
