I Love You So

Swells of wind moved across the open field as a random caress

Tilted rays of light from the setting sun silhouetted you softly

I could feel your presence as you silently approach the door

Your hair cascaded down like golden wheat in a gentle gust

Tender silence separated us as we took measure of each other

My hand caringly touched your face as you moved closer to me

Twilight drifted through the window and lent a crimson glow

Closed off to everything else I held you like a delicate wild flower

A subtle fragrance made me a willing captive to our embrace

Free of all other sensations our love became a romantic rapture

Dear Steve:  Romantic, and passion filled also.  Nicely written.  Love, Janjan xoxo

The delicate wording drew me in! This reads like a scene from a romance novel. =))

Well Steve, its nice to finally be able to read some of your work! I think it has a very tender touch, and you use words and phrases that speak to many. Oh to heck with all that, I liked it! lol..(never was a critic!) It was just gentle, like a love poem should be..

I agree with the comments below me.  It's very romantic.  I also like the alliteration in the second line.  Good job.
