Liberator Of My Soul

My night wields constellations in deft hands
so skilled at perforating my soul's shield
that each new bloody drop which courses through
these veins pays homage to their aptitude.
My creator commands the gates of hell
with ebony salvation whilst his eyes
stare far into the recess of shadow
to shine on dreams once so hidden even
myths mistook their existence for the truth.
You, who are darkness, haven and release,
long have I been adrift on your sea in
sedition, till within your realm, I found
my cradle, that towering castle fools fear.
You are the liberator of my soul,
your word is the conception of my breath.
When the insignificant blinds those who
misunderstand the power of such love
with prophets false and promises, I take
succor at your feet, richly nurtured by
fealty sworn, grace bestowed, glory achieved.
One hand entwined in my locks, your fingers
nimbly stroke my skin, and I am complete.
My selves take flight among those stars you rule,
to ride upon the thermals of your love.
Our bonds are the irons forged of freedom.

Fingers found wound upon the wand reveal therein appeal, earthrises and earthfalls, below the monks chant; and voices sing...Amen...

"Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom."

May Time take you both where you will, among the many turnings of the vasty Cosmos, to places few have seen and fewer still have known.
