No Door

No Door

My silhouette
Is trapped inside
This oubliette
Left there to forget
A dancer without
A pirouette.
A voice
In silent reflection
The choice
Was not my intention
But the mention of your name.
Would make me rejoice
In the silence
Of my emptiness.

I agree, you are indeed a fine writer. I look forward to reading more reposts...I probably haven't read any of them. Very nice poem here!

Yeaaaaaaaaa! (me dancing around and giggling!) I am sure many will be glad to see some of your older things back, as well as the new ones. You are a fine writer John, and I sometimes think we get inspired by reading the fine works of our friends on here, so thank you!
This was melancholy but a good work up of how we can all feel at times.

In the silence

Of my emptiness.

Silence is the heart beat weeper
emptiness is the intension keeper

Life can be miserable without dreams and love
So many prayers are spoken to the God  above
