My Dad

For my Dad

Enclosed by silent doors
And secret whispers
If I find myself
Then maybe
The tumbling leaves
Could shelter this helter skelter
From stumbling on its dreams
The merry go round
Is only found
When you step aboard
Forever turning
Until the music stops
I turned around
And you were gone.
Author's Notes:
I miss him so much. He loved me and i still feel that love. He was a good man.

Guess I should have saved the comment on your other for this one, but didn't see it til I went to page 2...As I said, I am priviledged to still have both parents, so I cannot say that I know of your loss. I only know that it will be a sorry day when that happens, and your write was a good reminder for me to make the best of these days.
I am sure he was a wonderful man, and you were blessed to have been his son.
Both of these writes about your parents were truly beautiful.

"Until the music stops"...we will know a special and unique love that will never be again...such is the love between parent and child, no matter what age we are. Such lovely thoughts here--golden memories, alive once more.

Dear John-
As time consumes our drive and our lives
Memories of what has been is all that survives

And although our bodies are reduced to dust

Those in our hearts remain close to us---

I thought this was a great rendition of your Father and the emotional
level this was written with allowed the reader to feel that energy-
I'm sure your Father cherishes thoughts those of us reading this are sending him!
Best Wishes to You Both~
Peace~
James
