I Will Walk Among The Wildflowers

The meadows are full of wildflowers
Waiting for the touch of our hands
The rivers are flowing now lonely
For we're not sitting on the banks hand in hand

And the willows weep in their sadness
For they were waiting just for us
While the mountains stand in honor
Of the love that we shared, pure and just

The ocean's tides move in memory
Of the times we traveled across, above
The moonlight waits in the shadows
As it mourns the death of you, my love

The rain comes down in tear drops
From the clouds that miss your sweet smile
And the sun shines only for you now
When the mist rises up cross the miles

And I will walk among the wildflowers
And sit by the rolling river banks
I will look for you in the moonlight
And go to the majestic mountains to think

I will catch the tears of the rain drops
And let them mix forever with mine
I will wait for the mist to rise once more
Then stand in the warmth of the sunshine

I will lie down along the shoreline
And let the ocean's tides cover me in shells
I will rest there for awhile my love
Remembering you and knowing all is well.

Touching in its grief, and uplifting in its confidence that all is well. Michael is surely pleased to know you have come so far. He was, and I believe is, a good man. Blessings on you. And congratulations on your award. ML

Such sadness still fills my eyes still ... I also cried that day so in shock..... We all know your mourning is  so painful right now and will be for a very long time.
Just remember he loved you with all his heart and soul... You had a short time together... A lifetime embrace in each others arms . That is what he wanted ..You...
he left you with memories to always cherish ... Hold them close to you breast .. .. He leaves you with love in your heart once again... A treasure to always cherish...
My prayers and love to you at this sad time
in your life..
WE ...are all here if you need us... with open arms...

You have done an excellent job conveying your feelings.  The imagery and metaphors gives those feelings a depth and clarity that the reader can understand and relate to.  I send my blessings to you and Michael must have bee a wonderful person.  As times passes, I think our memories provide some comfort to us for those we have lost.

Kathy, this is so very beautiful, and so very full of longing and sadness. I can only imagine how much you are thinking of him and missing him. I am so very sorry for your loss. It was a shock to us all, and I hope you know how much he loved you. Keep everything you had together safe with you always, and stay strong. We are still keeping you in heart and mind.
