Don't play with hearts
Truth in advertising
Sadly, it's a myth
Nothing works the way it's promised to
And they get away with it
The lies and the deception
Are all accepted
It seems that practice is bleeding over
Now the lies and deceptions
Are playing with people's hearts
Hurting them where it hurts most
 Ruining their belief in love
How sad, how cowardly
It takes no fortitude to willfully deceive
There is no gain to be made
Saying I love you to someone
And backing up that statement
Is a show of fortitude
Of a heart that's true
Don't play with the heart of another
It is a vile act of cowardice
And it hurts

Absolutely it is vile....

Some just don't think heart stuff is serious....most of those are folks who DON'T HAVE ONE!

Excellent statement dear friend.

Hugs,
Pamela

Love means never having to say,"Do you come here often?" Seriously, Henry, love is a much over-used word. It should be held in reverence...len

Henry, every words so true, Players everywhere. Playng with ones

heart is certainly no laughing matter. people get hurt. I know this to be true.

I think most women here that commented all know the same man :).

Great writing dear.

Sadly there people who live for the thrill of performing on

the "stage". There are knaves among us, both men and women and that

is human nature.  The problem is that too many places on the internet

present opportunities for "players", as Glata calls them,

to get their thrills.

Food for thought. Nice going Henry.

I agree with Joe about this going both ways...but seriously, I didn't know YOU did! *laughs*

Oh man Henry...this kind of deception, done intentionally, is nothing more than a game of cheap thrills. A player might sends out many invites in hopes to gather a bunch of hearts and then take his/her pick...or maybe "the more the merrier" is the sick mentality that applies here. I think it depends on the player and really, he/she most likely hasn't any intentions of ever truly loving these (this) woman or man but it gives them their jollies (to a greater or lesser extent) in the moment.

Hey people...don't believe all you are told on line and guard your hearts. There are ASSHOLES out there that stink up the place and think they smell like roses. I detest players too, sad to say this but it is true...there are a few on this site. Beware! Good heads UP Henry-- timely too! =))

I'm with She Whispers lol ...get that loaded gun! lol

......sad thing is Henry....some of these idiots are self-proclaimed poets.

yet, their words ring empty and hold no validity

they were all for you, only you x 4 lol

i think we all have heard something like this before heh?

Great truth within all the previous comments too!

To them Henry it is just a game for their own egos. They seem to get off on hurting and palying others in the their games of love. Sad people who have nothing better to do but to say hurtful  lies. Never believe in a charmer.........

Wonderful message in this Henry

As everyone has said the stories that could be told we all have experience that and like She, most have hardened their heart for this. Such a truthful and hearfelt poem and enjoyable read

Egads. Never a wise thing to get too involved with people we have not met in real life.

They can pretend to be anything they want...and often do. ;-(

Henry,
Like Glata said.... we could tell you some stories of players in the past... I was fooled myself they had  4 others they were loving at the same time...
that I found out about I was furious ..... so I guard my heart now with a loaded gun...
Great vent... We all are so trusting  it is a shame.... I know I was.....
I always enjoy your poetry so truthful...

Oh man...the stories I can tell about players! I detest them! and do I ever hear you on this! I don't know who this is for, but for the victim of the heartache, I send my hugs and I hope that the one that hurt them pays dearly!

Hugs to ya...

Glata
