An Artist's Prayer
                      I pray the paint
                      Would sing its song
And let the sound and feel
                      Of color belong
                      To my senses...
                      And through my hands resound
                      To form the scenes
                       So clearly found,
                       In my mind,
                       In my dreams.
                       And when at times
                       I don't succeed,
I pray for energy I will need
                       To start again
                       And over again,
                       Before the paint
                       And spirit plead...
                       Enough, old man.
Author's Notes:
I think beginning with The Artist's Prayer
I will start reposting more of my previous work
because creativity is ebbing
and the spirit has begun to plead...
enough old man.  :o)

Since I am fairly new, I look forward to your reposts. It will give me a chance to read the works from your past.

I enjoyed this one (and am now wondering if you really paint as well?)

I can't even paint a room but I can understand the prayer you have written so well.
