Some lines a drawn and some remain in your imagination
Some lines run straight and some curve in amazing ways and
This is a story of how we are just lines born and raised in
A world full of happiness and lies, of the bold and brazen
I am a line that grew exponentially I knew I'd never cave in
She was a cosine, made sense but always wavering
And I knew of this proof but forgot the steps it was made in
And the price I'll always pay is accepting our lines were mistaken
At first I thought they were crossed meant to be in the state they were in
but that was before I knew of our biology and the case that we stay within
Because I am not tangent to your lines but on a whole different wavelength

When you said we couldn't be, I knew the problem lay within our lines
Proof that we ran like our DNA - antiparallel in the way we were transcribed

Author's Notes:
DNA is transcribed in an antiparallel fashion, that is that side of the double helix runs one way and the other runs in the opposite way.  So what I am trying to say is that me and her just were running is different directions.
