The Dark

The Dark

When the last breath of summer
Has kissed my lips
Don’t cry for me
I sent the sunshine far away
I shielded it from pain
I touched and felt
A world that hurts
Everybody hurts
But no one sees their pain.
Poetic words that have no meaning
Have no meaning
I will dream until the dark
Takes me in her warm caress.
