Our Wait Will Be Long
To know the night, we study the day --
Defiant as Hell we turn away!

Lessons from darkness the brightness to bring,
Ahead it lies, grab the Brass Ring!

Backward and forward the Time Balance gone,
Slipping and sliding, our wait will be long.

Giggle and whisper all new secrets to share,
Through good and bad we continue to care!

Advice from others we can't often take,
Our own chosen pathway trail we must make.
Author's Notes:
Hmmm. September 1977 was an interesting time. Oh, oh, if Leigh Star reads this, she will be shocked, it RHYMES!!!! Now, Leigh put down the keys to your Chevy...but, you know I will not behave.

Lessons learned the hard way are long remembered. There is brightness in dark lessons, I agree! A subjective, interesting write.
