Honeymoon in Paradise
Surprised with an Hawaiian honeymoon,
we had two different fruits each morning.
What a way to start the day before noon!

The first day was pineapple and kiwi,
sweet and carved into the shape of a boat,
kiwi bride and groom as cute as could be!

Next came chocolate covered strawberries
and luscious cherries, tempting with champagne.
No need to worry about calories!

We had papaya and grapes the third day,
such sensual fruits and fun to share.
“Peel me a grape” was a great game to play!

Refreshing duet, coconut and lime
made us get up and take hula lessons.
“No, you can’t have him ladies, he’s all mine!”

Fresh star-fruit and mango were a delight,
cut nicely, almost too pretty to eat.
So good, we had them for dinner that night!

The final day was Bananas Foster,
garnished with tiny mandarin oranges.
Superb, we never left our four- poster!

Grocery shopping is an adventure,
discovering some new exotic fruits
by that sexy lady, Mother Nature!
Author's Notes:
Writing about fruit for a contest on allpoetry was fun, so I wrote another one.
