In love and death
I reach deep into the ocean, but the water on my hand is no indication of depth
I breathe out on a cold day, but that doesn't tell me the amount of air I have left
I thought about the world, what I know, and how I've felt about love and death
I'm just wondering if anyone really can know the significance that's drawn from a breath

Even when we kiss deeply, we can't really measure love from a kiss
It's only the consequences of our actions that allow us to reminisce
It's in feeling love that shows us the power of what it's like to miss
Because it was only our death that proved that we really did exist

So I reached out into the ocean again and I let all the water drip
Not regretting letting go of everything that can not be held with a grip

Yes, the point I think, well for me anyway, is not to fear death necessarily, but to respect it, for what we were given can be just as easily taken away at any second, I don't fear death, but I do have alot of respect for it...for how easily it can happen to anyone at any time, it is hard also for me to fear the inevitable, it matters moreso what I do as I exist. Great write!

hold close, what you love,  for it can be washed away. And it is sad when the depth of love is measured upon death. that is what I get from this, I can be totally off, but I see a positive message within this write.
