Blessing Or Curse.
Am I so blessed to be a poet
Or is it that of curse
That all my thoughts inside my head
Now come out all in verse
These thoughts in mind, are all but held
For only a moment in time
Like written words upon a page
All standing there in line
Now the starting line is ready
Red, Amber, then its go
Scrambling to the fore front
All gathering there to flow
And then they're off, its like a shot
As Greyhounds so unleashed
All jostling for position
In a rhyme not yet released
But I am, just what I am
And I would'nt change a thing
So I'll just wait here for the words
And see what they will bring.

Author's Notes:
Give to me the tenderness
The passion of a kiss
And forever shall  return to you
A nectar that is bliss.

See what I mean! Heh Heh. :-)

To me it is no contest-- to be a poet, is a blessing! And I can identify with you about the thinking in rhyme--it all becomes a part of us and plays out in many varied, and delightful ways, even as in this present poem.

I say, thank God, He made me so,

No other way would I want to know!

Exquisite explanation of the outpouring of the poets heart.

It seems mysterious indeed...I think it's the motion and guise of the spirit in it's labors---

Just wonderful poetry Graham...excellent in all it's facets...a best of yours surely!

Hugs,
Pamela

Graham,

We seem to see it all in rhyme

It happens to me all the time

No matter the topic in my head

In rhyme and rythm it must be said

Well stated, my friend!

Big hugs to ya...

Glata
