Flying
Flying

I dreamt of you
but the sun caught me crying
so i danced in the rain
with a feeling of flying.

Though hearts can slip away
life still lingers on
looking for that poetry
in the magic of her song.

Life is but a simple tool
that whittles at your heart
the carve the cut the ending
or beginning of the start.

I dance in the rain
the sun won't catch me crying
a safer place i need to land
until then i will keep on flying.

I've done this same dance in the rain, John...so I understand the need to avoid letting the sun catch you  crying :o)

Well done...

I agree with India a great read.  It carries a feeling of nostalgic romance leaving the reader with a soothing hope..Connie

I dance in the rain

the sun won't catch me crying
She watches the trickling teardrops of rain
and her helpless heart with love is sighing

a safer place i need to land

until then i will keep on flying.

She know the burning love in his romantic heart
she knows he loves her his way
 it will never depart

Great to read a love poem again..
What can I say you inspire me...
Hugs ~She whispers
