The demon
I'm fighting this demon that cloaks my soul.
Darkening the images of beauty.
Surrounding me with it's darkness.
Surrendering to it's control.
My pleas do not release the demon's grip.
His laughter echoes within the spaces of my mind
and I laugh to encourage a smile,
while he laughs for he has won.

Author's Notes:
just writing. I can't come up with a title. Any suggestions?

There are many demons all around us, which try to dominate our hearts, minds, emotions, feelings, body charms and soul as well....... Your poem is sweet, deep and wonderful, which can be generalised to so many demons my dear friend!

How about 'Battleing Evil'.  A scary poem for I have been there.

This is a topic many can relate to. How about "The Demon" for a title. Well said Helen.

No suggestions, for titles are MY personal demons, lol...but this is certainly a powerful and intense write, Helen.

The darkness brought on by this type of demon is too real and too powerful at times..........

Love this, and can relate!

Hugs...and good to  see  you posting again!

A dark and emotionally graphic write that conveys a timeless struggle.  Well done.  How about "Personal Demons" we all have them.
