Wounded

The taste of your love is sweet

Only hope held the possibility

That you and I would meet

Stay with this man for a while

Itís a hard time I have suffered

And my road traveled was a trial

I have been wounded in love

Had to weather a terrible storm

With no help from heaven above

I knocked on the golden gate

Prayed this burden be taken

So I would never know hate

My mother once told me, "Don't ever fall in love, son, for it shall surely stick to your face." I fell in love...It stuck to my face, but I didn't really mind all that much. :o)...len

The wounds of love are scars that never seem to heal. To trust in anothers love is very hard after being betrayed or hurt many times. May you feel only love that makes the  soul soar.

Steve,
Love can wound us all ... always hoping to meet the right person that will change our life to such happiness ..
As I read it I had to read it again....
Oh, How the words reached inside my heart and brought forth my eyes to blur with hidden tears..
That I have concealed seems like for years...
 Sometimes love just hurts..
Not having the one you want in life!!
My prayer is all your storms have cleared out of your gentle heart... without hope and faith we have nothing to live for....
 Hugs ~ She Whispers

Very aptly titled Steve. A wise man casts the burden of heartache away before it festers and becomes something that will not heal. " Only hope held the possibility That you and I would meet"...there is much to be said about hope, we can either soar to new and wonderful heights because of it or flail and drown in it. It's good to see the hope you have has wings. May the storm be far behind you. Lovely telling and heartfelt post...sure to please. =))
