Poets love deeper
She said she never loved a poet before just some guys who said they liked the beach
Oh cliche, I asked her what lessons she had learned she said the ones only life can teach

I told her I would love her forever, but how could she tell she could ever really know
So I showed her what I wrote, the poems that marked my life, the ones that showed my soul

She said she liked my pen, but these words came from being slung in the mud
I told her don't compliment the ink because these thoughts were written with my blood

So she said then bleed on these pages and let your ink run a river if you're a bleeder
Haha what a clever reader, I told her if she took a leap then she'd become a believer

She never loved a poet so she asked me if she left everything behind would I really keep her?
I told her the men who loved her before were shallow and weaker because baby, poets love deeper

i really enjoyed the parts about ink and blood, i thought you expressed that beautifully...and i liked the idea behind this, working as a story behind emotions...
nicely done.
