Fahrenheit
0 degrees Fahrenheit
And everything froze
Blood left my fingers, my hands and my toes
But what we often forget is that life thrives in the cold
I breathe out and see the air that blows
Everything is more real when you see how it flows
So I've always try to let my words follow that in prose

24 degrees Fahrenheit
The world is being blanketed in snow
10 inches deep and my feet sink beneath and below
In a week I'll be on a white sand beach because only God bestows
And where will I be in a year? Only almighty God really knows
Because a year ago I wouldn't have thought I'd have this love that really grows
Where do any of us end up? We might rarely ever know
And who we are is what we become, but do we really ever show?

98.6 degrees Fahrenheit
And in a child's eyes I've found a peace inside that no one really knows
His eyes reminds me that innocence is but fleeting as we grow
And that at the end of this, every life will come to a close
I love him so much, I feed him and change his clothes
He constantly is laughing and his baby teeth shows
Me that life is resilient and we've all come down the path we chose

105.9 degrees Fahrenheit
I remember being 10 years old and being caught in the flood and oh!
I thought I would drown, but the water came up to my knees and not my nose
What I didn't realize is that months later I would be at death's throne
My body withered like a desert's rose
I know now that I have a purpose and my mission is fulfilling what I owe
Was it God or the doctors who saved me? I guess a bit of both
And what it did instill in me was a life impacted by those selfless heroes

212 degrees Fahrenheit
Liquid water turns to vapor; indicative of how we all change states in nature
I think that we all have our reasons for throwing away the things we throw
For jumping in love and fighting for causes we suppose
For finding the one we love and finally getting on one knee to propose
Studying the nature of the mind and the brains of the crows
Believing in a higher power to overcome the lowest of our lows
And not believing because you yourself were able to overcome the throes
No matter what we believe in, we all exist in the world in which we are enclosed
Let's agree on saving her from the destruction we've transposed

451 degrees Fahrenheit
And now these pages are reminders that words and songs are composed
And what we leave from our insides is what becomes disclosed
If you leave to much of yourself you become vulnerable to your foes
But your enemies will always respect you more than the friends you know
Because those who are with you have never been opposed
Keep you enemies close and keep you friends on their toes
You'll find truth in this only after certain situations arose
Always get back up like the sun for only she shows
The most important thing we need learn - life like light radiates and glows

27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit
And in the Sun's core all the elements from which we were formed - burn
A reminder in life that before we burst we should remember one day we will return

You never cease to amaze, I wish there was a better way to say it, but I'm speechless.

Yes, Shoaib, you are very intelligent, not just with your words, but your perception of what it truly means to live, survive, grow, and endure...as well as feel...very well written, very well percieved...love it!

Shoaib I am rather jealous here.. Where on earth did you manage to possess such a knowledge of what life is all about at such an early age? When in fact it took me many years to develop what I do own now!

As I always say of your pieces.. Amazing!!!

Yours,

Lunie the Moonie
