Pressed into my palm, I feel the ice begin to fold,
Softly snapping into place and sealing in the cold―
Ghosting through the barriers of skin and blood and bone,
Making pathways of my veins as long as I'm alone.

I would watch you bleed and die and never pull you back;
I would flee from your embrace and never feel the lack;
You would haunt my tower's night and I your every breath―
We would share our misery in living and in death.

Heart may beat its strength away against its narrow bars;
Eyes may stare into the headlights of a thousand cars;
Feet may carry leaden limbs across the world's extent . . .
Soul will ever mourn for you until its time is spent.
Author's Notes:
Just . . . confused feelings, towards someone that hurt me.

You are truly an individual of the arts that allows your feelings to spume in so many civil and glorious ways.
